Recognition of Outstanding Service and Committment

At the November 2024 Club Meeting we took the opportunity to recognise the outstanding service and dedication of some of our members.

Gordon, who had been our secretary for many years, and is already a life member received a Certificate of Appreciation for all the work he has done to keep the club operating over a very long time.  Here he is being presented with his Certificate.

Beryl has filled in many roles at the club including being treasurer for many years prior to taking on publishing the clubs newsletter.  The club was very pleased to make her a Life Member in appreciation of her commitment to the club.

We have relocated

We have moved!

We are now co-located with the Merri Community Shed at 19 Harding St, Coburg.

Founded in 1992 the Northern Woodturners Club was located at the scout hall in Kingsbury for 15 years.  Sadly, our landlords advised us that they wouldn't be renewing our lease for 2025 and we found ourselves in need of new premises.

After much searching and a lot of hard work by our committee and many of the clubs members we were able to establish a connection with the Merri Community Shed in Coburg.  In them we have found an organisation with many shared ideals and a commitment to developing the skills of people and providing them with opportunities for social net working and the development of new skills.

We are very pleased to have completed our relocation and are now progressively setting up our equipment and getting back to the important business of making square wood round.
